Dr. Braun grew up in West-Berlin, Germany, where she attended the Freie Universitaet dental clinic after graduating at the top of her class at the Albert Einstein Gymnasium, which incorporates four years of high school classes as well as two years of college education.
She moved to the United States in 1990 and continued her studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, receiving a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1996. Dr. Braun graduated first in her dental class and was inducted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society and the Sigma Beta Honor Society. She received numerous awards including the American College of Dentists Award for Outstanding Performance and Professionalism, the American Association of Orthodontists Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-Facial Complex, the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award, as well as two awards from the Xi Psi Phi International Dental Fraternity.
Upon completion of a three year specialty residency she earned her Certificate in Orthodontics in 1999.
Dr. Braun has been practicing in Brewster, NY since 1999. She has been actively involved and has held memberships in the Brewster Rotary Club and dental societies at the local, state, and national level. She is a current member and past president of the Putnam County Dental Society and recipient of the New Dentist Leadership Award issued by the Ninth District Dental Association. Dr. Braun has also been elected to serve on the Board of Governors for the Ninth District Dental Association and has been the representative for Putnam County for the past five years. Memberships in other professional organizations include the Westchester Putnam Orthodontic Study Club, the New York State Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the American Board of Orthodontics, and the World Federation of Orthodontists.
Dr. Braun was elected one of the Hudson Valley Top Dentists and Orthodontists in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Dr. Braun has been a certified Invisalign provider since 2000 and in 2009 obtained her certification as a Clear Correct provider as well. She has been named as one of the “Top Dentists of the Hudson Valley” for the last fifteen consecutive years. She stays current with the latest techniques and technologies by attending local and national continuing education courses and reviewing relevant scientific journals. One of her own articles has been published in the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Braun resides in Putnam County with her husband and son.

From scheduling appointments, to structuring budget-friendly financial contracts, to processing insurance claims, they will assist you in every way possible with a friendly smile and the know-how to get the job done.
Our accommodating staff has had a vast amount of experience in the orthodontic field prior to coming together in our practice. All of our orthodontic assistants are board certified and licensed by New York State and have at least 10 years of experience in orthodontics. Dr. Braun and her assistants are also trained and certified in CPR. All are extremely qualified to offer the highest standard of care and expertise to our patients as they assist Dr. Braun with all procedures and aspects of orthodontic treatment.
We recognize that your time is valuable and we make every effort not to waste it. When we schedule an appointment, our goal is to escort you into the treatment area upon your arrival, complete your scheduled procedure within the allotted time period, schedule your next appointment, and send you on your way to complete the rest of your day. In order to help you remember your scheduled visits we send out e mail confirmations. If you find it necessary to cancel your appointment we ask that you give at least 24 hours notice.
